Sonos Sound System
The boat was fitted originally with Garmin Fusion Audio Amps. They relied on “old school” music sources, were failing at 5 years of age. The former owner also added Bose Speakers to those fitted by the Factory. The Bose system has been replaced on the main deck but continues to operate in the Master stateroom.
We replaced them with Sonos Connect Amps enabling the existing factory original speakers throughout the boat to become operational with zero changes.
There are seven zones:
Salon
Cockpit
Foredeck
Flybridge
Master Stateroom
VIP Stateroom
TV Audio
New Starlink Installed
We replaced the Salon TV with a Roku 57” OLED TV and connected the yacht’s TVs to our onboard Starlink Internet to enable streaming directly to the TV.
Starlink Internet
We installed Starlink Internet, the antenna located on the Arch
Wi-Fi
We have installed a Mikrotik Router RB750Gr3
The Starlink modem is configured as an access point.
We have other access points throughout the boat:
These access points assure perfect Internet access from anywhere on the boat. The configuration for this router is stored on Mikrotik’s cloud backup site and we have a copy of it stored locally on our computers.
Master Stateroom TV
The prior owner installed a Bose auto system in the Master Stateroom. Hence, to operate the TV, use the TV remote to turn on the TV and the remote with the display to turn on the Bose equipment, which is in the cabinet above the cosmetic table.
VHF Radios (Portable)
There are two portable VHF handheld radios which complement and backup the built-in dual station Simrad VHF Radio.
Crew Full Duplex Communications Headsets
To facilitate communication between the captain and the crew, there are three (3) Eartec full duplex headsets and a battery charger. Once turned on and worn, the captain and the crew can have hands-free communication.
Dockmate Propulsion Remote Control
We added a Dockmate Remote Propulsion controller that uses a hand-held remote to control the props forward and reverse as well as the bow and stern thrusters, anchor and horn. This remote controller enables the captain to walk to the gunwale side of the boat that will butt the dock and slowly control the boat drifting into its berth.
Spot Zero Reverse Osmoses System
We used Rydlime, a special purpose chemical, to remove 100% of the lime and calcium deposits from the water system, and then installed a full-blown RO system made by Spot Zero in the engine room. Water that enters the boat via the fitting on the aft starboard stairway goes directly into Spot Zero and activates it. The spot zero water output is purer than bottled water, completely free of minerals. Thus, every faucet on the yacht delivers 100% pure, better than bottled, delicious water. Note that we also use a tri-filter Clearsource filter system on the doc as a prefilter ahead of the Spot Zero’s prefilter. Trust me, the more prefilters the better.
Magma LP Gas Barbecue Grill
The boat was delivered with a Kenyon electric grill, which was functionally useless for grilling. We removed it and installed a Magma LPG Grill and a Viking Fiberglas LP Gas Tank. The tank is 100% DOT certified and corrosion proof.
Hidden Circuit Breakers
There are two sets of hidden and previously unmarked circuit breakers. One for DC is inside the cabinet on the transom to the left of the Chillers in the Engine Room and the others are for Shore Power A/C and are located behind the side panel on the stairs leading down into the crew cabin. Both are now conspicuously labeled.
Watermaker
The Watermaker converts salt water into Fresh Water and pumps it into the Spot Zero RO system where it is further processed into Pure water.
